What is a wedding ceremony without its groom?

And who will bare witness today for this journey?

An unattended rites of passage is like a wedding without its guests –

If I go down to the ground –

If I hold out my arms as if in flight –

Will you take me?

If I surrender myself completely

Give up my body as if to the grave

then will you take me?
